Our marmot lives in a pile of rocks behind our house. We don't have to feed it or clean up the mess it makes. What could be better?
When I first spied the marmot I thought it was a huge fluffy cat. When I took a closer look I thought it was a badger. After doing research I found out it was a yellow bellied marmot. It's kind of like a big squirrel. Apparently it's harmless but could get feisty protecting its den. As long as it doesn't eat my flowers or vegetables or my kids for heavens sakes, we'll leave it alone.
