My kids love to dress up for the occasion. Lindsey even made her own hat.
We stick to tradition and do about the same thing every year.
It starts with a bike parade in Eden.
Emma and Lindsey decided they were too old for bikes and wanted to pull Brooke in the wagon instead.
My mom helped Christian decorate his bike and let us use her supplies for the wagon too. The kids had fun decorating the night before.
After the bike parade we head over to Huntsville for their bigger parade. You never know what you're going to get- Michael Jackson, Barack Obama, or this year, Hilary Clinton. It's a lot of fun.
We walked around afterwards long enough for the kids to get in a few games.
Emma's trying out her new softball skills on the dunk machine. No Dunking, darnit.
Brooke crashed on my lap for a while. When she woke up I took her for a ride on the train.
We're the ones in the back.
We got a really good rest during the day before we headed out again that night to a BBQ at Aaron's parent's house. The kids got to slide down their hill all night.
I love this picture of Aaron's grandma Norma smiling at Brooke
This is the best I could get of Aaron and Brooke watching fireworks.
She still talks about the fireworks today.
Such good times.
