It's all happening at the zoo

The kids keep asking when we're going to do something fun.  Their summer vacation started two weeks ago and we haven't gone swimming or to Lagoon or anything. Having a new baby keeps us home most of the time and getting out is quite a challenge.  We really have to use our creativity to make it all work.  Today we decided to go to the zoo because the weather was good and because it might be the last "cool" day of the summer.
It started out a little rocky when we noticed how crowded the parking lot was. Finding a spot took a while. Then the kids started arguing and I felt like the real zoo was in our car.  Getting the baby fed took some good planning and figuring that out added a little to the tension.  Overall though we had fun and kept the baby fed and happy.  Here's some pictures of the day:

Guess who?

Lindsey insisted on bringing her notebook to jot down a few notes about the animals

Side note: We found out too late that my sister and her family who are here from out of town were also at the zoo today.  It would have been so fun to hang out with them. Next time we'll have to get a copy of their agenda.

Looks like so much fun! Life is a Zoo....you don't have to go far to discover that! Right?
